Buffalo Derek - short bio
Derek Scott a.k.a. Buffalo Derek is a country rock musician from upstate New York. "When I am out of town, the two most common questions are, What’s your name? and Where are you from? So a couple of guys on the crew I was working with said to just combine the two answers - Buffalo Derek". After meeting Buffalo icon Robbie "K" Konikoff, Derek recorded multiple releases with the rock band Leap Hole and signed to indie label Krossover Records. In 2014, Derek took his experiences living in the country and hammered them into an organic country style of New York music. Buffalo Derek got the boot from a local act "Sidewinders" for not sounding country enough for the old schoolers ..... but nobody does Daniels better than Buffalo Derek. In this modern day "Living in the country while I'm working in the city" has become a lifestyle. This forging of city and country has led to new country rock projects for Derek.
